Standing on the Magnets

They are GREAT for beginners in any energy practice because they help to magnify the FEEL of the energy so you have that immediate feedback in your energy practices. But long-time practitioners use them too. Because when you notice something has a profound effect on your energy and health, you stick with it.

In a previous article, we talked about how people are using magnets to heal or get more energy. But there’s a lot of confusion and misinformation about magnets out there so we wanted to take the opportunity to share our thoughts with you about them.

Find Out What Works Best FOR YOU

First and foremost is that WE ARE ALL UNIQUE.  Yes, we all are electromagnetic beings and there are always standards and practices that seem to work for everyone.

But again, we’re all UNIQUE.

So some things might be different for you.  It’s important that you listen to your own body and your own inner guidance about what things work for you.  That’s your best guide.

That being said, we try to keep it simple with magnets because for people living in today’s stressful society, 9 times out of 10, we can tell people to use the North Side of the magnet toward the body to relax, calm and soothe their energy.

The Traditionally “Healing” Side of Magnets

The North Side (Geological North) is the side that has the ‘negative‘ magnetic pole.  Think of the word ‘negative‘ not as a bad thing, but as in subtracting or reducing.

In our highly charged society, most people need an overall reduction in frantic, stressed and hyper energies so this is perfect for them.

For most people, it allows them to feel energies MORE so they might think it is adding energy. But it’s actually that the magnets are calming their energy enough so that they are more sensitive to the energy that’s already there.

Ironically, as they pay more attention to their energy with this more sensitive awareness, their energy grows.  So, in time, the negative pole of magnets actually does lead to increased energy – but not for the reasons that most people think.

But, like we said, that’s true 9 out of 10 times.  Sometimes however, there are people with sluggish energies and body functions that can benefit from using the other side of the magnet.

The Side With The Bad Reputation

The other side, the South Side, is the side that has the ‘positive‘ magnetic pole.  Think of the word ‘positive’ in terms of adding, increasing or stimulating.

This side does exactly what it sounds like… it stimulates sluggish energy.  It has been said that people with a sluggish digestion or people that have trouble waking up in the morning can use this South Side for a jolt of stimulating energy.

However, the reason you don’t hear as much about using this side is because in our society, most people are already walking around ‘wired‘ so you don’t want to add too much stimulating energy.  But if you address a problem area with it — like a surgical strike — it can be very effective.

Another reason we say we say this side has a bad reputation and recommend being mindful using it, is because magnet studies show that if you have an infection, bacteria, cancer… anything along those lines — the ‘stimulating effect‘ may stimulate those things as well.

What Do Magnets Help With?

So BOTH sides of a magnet can be incredibly useful if used properly.  Here are just a few of the conditions that we’ve heard people have had some success addressing with magnets (IN GENERAL):

Using the Calming Side (the North Pole)
**Sug use: 10-30 minutes at a time

  • Arthritis
  • Bleeding (due to weak tissues or organs)
  • Boils
  • Bowels (if overcharged, the North Pole calms)
  • Burns (when pain reduces, South Pole for strengthening tissue)
  • Cancers
  • Congestion
  • Headache (usually North Pole, but with some causes South Pole)
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Infection
  • Kidney or Gall Stone discomfort
  • Pain
  • Tooth and Gum disorders
  • Encourages restorative sleep
  • Calms over-charged brain (Increases mental acuity and reasonableness)
  • Increases oxygen availability to the cell
  • Normalizes acid balance (allergies, sore/stiff muscles, hypersensitivity, diseases)
  • Reduces fatty deposits (slow process)
  • Reduces fluid retention
  • Reduces gases
  • Reduces inflammation

Using the Stimulating Side (the South Pole)
**Sug use: 5-10 minutes at a time

  • Digestion sluggishness (increases acid levels)
  • Bowels (if sluggish, the South Pole stimulates)
  • Headache (usually North Pole, but with some causes South Pole)
  • Strengthen weak limbs, muscles, pulse, circulation
  • Insulin production
  • Sexual lethargy
  • Stimulate wakefulness

Magnets Also Increase Your Sensitivity. Use That!

Another GREAT thing about using magnets is that everything is heightened. So, use them a few times just to get a ‘baseline.’ Sort of like, “This is what I feel like on magnets.

It’s always interesting when people first start using magnets to see how their bodies interpret the energy. Some people feel happy and floating. Some people have a bowel movement. (Yep. You read that right.) Some people feel such a sudden rush of energy to their brain they say they feel “buzzed.”   That’s fine.  However your body responds, is the way it’s learning to deal with increased energy.

It’s perfectly normal to feel “an open-ness” or “a mental expansiveness“… but if it ever gets to the point where you feel dizzy or even just uncomfortable with what you’re feeling, cut back on the time you’re using the magnets and build up more slowly.

For some people that have felt the magnets were too intense for them at the beginning, we suggested that they start using the magnets on a glass of water for approx 20 minutes and then drinking it*.  This seems to have enabled their body to become more acclimated until they could use the magnets directly. (Incidentally, this is a safe and easy way to share magnet benefits with your pets!)

ALWAYS trust your intuition and if you feel expanded, bigger and more positive, you know you’re on the right track.

*Creating magnetized water: There are reports online that suggest using the north side of a magnet for creating magnetized water that is calming and relaxing, and using the south side of a magnet for stimulating and charging water. Some magnet companies sell bi-polar magnets for creating magnetized water. When in doubt we recommend using the calming and relaxing side of a magnet – used for most conditions. Simply place the glass or jug on the North Pole facing side. How long should you magnetize drinking water for? Approx 20 minutes for a glass of water and 60 minutes for a jug of water.
