Body Language Tricks

Non-verbal communication of our body language is probably when we are at our most honest. This recent 20-minute TED talk by social psychologist Amy Cuddy explains how body language address the questions:

• Can you fake it till you make it?
• Can you fake it till you become it?
• Do non-verbal communication govern how others feel about us?
• How we feel about ourselves?
• Do our bodies change our minds?
• Can we use body language to overcome fears, doubts and insecurities?

Also discover how five seconds and a handshake can differentiate the like-ability factor between President Obama and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown (around 1:30 minutes). And at the 4:20 part, find out what Oprah Winfrey, Mick Jagger and winning athletes have in common with primates!

Most of all, learn the simple yet remarkable two-minute technique that will turn you into the confident and powerful person….as well as understand how your posture has positively and negatively affected the people in your lives.

Correct energy blocks and get into the FLOW

Give it a try, and let us know whether it made any difference for you as it has for us! Body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves.

Also, social psychologist Amy Cuddy shows how “power posing” — standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don’t feel confident — can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain, and might even have an impact on our chances for success.

Finally! Someone is keying in to these bio-chemical benefits from body positions. Sounds like they haven’t made the association with Qigong movements yet, but give them time. It’s pretty obvious when you think about it.
