Choose Your Habits

Consider This Riddle…

I am your constant companion..
I am your greatest asset or heaviest burden.
I will push you up to success or down to disappointment.

I am at your command.
Half the things you do might just as well be turned over to me,
for I can do them quickly, correctly, and profitably.

I am easily managed, just be firm with me.
Those who are great, I have made great.
Those who are failures, I have made failures.
I am not a machine, though I work with the precision of a
machine and the intelligence of a person.

You can run me for profit, or you can run me for ruin.
Show me how you want it done. Educate me. Train me.

Lead me. Reward me.
And I will then … do it automatically.
I am your servant.
Who am I?
I am a HABIT

Did you get it? This teaching carries a powerful message indeed!

Just what is a habit?

All habits are the positive or negative reflection of what we have regularly planted within our subconscious mind. Apart from uncovering our True Nature, the subconscious is the most powerful personal development area we should be focused upon understanding.

Therefore the question we should all be regularly asking ourselves is:

“What am I planting today?”

Remember, that with every thought and expectation, you are planting something in your subconscious.

Regular like-minded thoughts evolve into beliefs (neural networks), which become habit-ual, and beliefs become expectations, which are extremely visual. So if you want to start changing your belief-habits, then start changing your mental images.

Only picture within your mind that which you want!

How? Begin the daily practice of visualization. Additionally you should attach to your visualization positive statements and declarations that your subconscious will adopt and act upon.

The next question to ask yourself is,

“Am I clear about what I want?”

The Good News is that you can choose!  But to really get clear about what you want:

  • first, quiet your mind — meditation is extremely helpful — and then,
  • ask yourself what gives me the maximum energy and fulfillment?

After you are clear on what you want, you just have to create a plan to re-program your subconscious mind with positive habits that will lift you up to the success and lifestyle you deserve.

Remember, it’s YOUR mind and you get to choose the habits that it acts upon. Never underestimate the power that lies within your subconscious mind. Find the tools and resources that you need to transform yourself and go after it! (If you need help in this area you will love The Quantum Transformation Course that we created with John Assaraf)

And START NOW!

Statistically the average American:

  • has approximately 650,000 hours of life (by the way – it doesn’t need be so few: Checkout Qigong if you are interested in adding years to your life and life to your years)
  • 1/3 of those hours of our lives (195,000) are spent sleeping
  • that leaves most people 455,000 hours of awake-time to enjoy this amazing ride

So let’s say you are 37 years of age… according to these statistics you only have 227,500 hours left to enjoy an incredible life. Together let’s support each other in making everyday amazing… and while we’re at it… let’s prove these statistics wrong!!

Thank you for this article, I learned a little trick which has helped me many times to undo habits which do not serve me, I give a name to the part of me which is expressed by this habit, for instance if I would feel fear of anything, I would give a name to the fearful part of the emotional body, Zoe for instance, and whenever the fear habit would come I, Agnes, would tell to this part, “ok Zoe, I saw you”. This makes it easier to bring the unconscious on the conscious level, and to give to this part the same unconditional love we would give a friend.
    I hope it helps?
    With love

Great little trick Agnes… the mind has many facets and identities indeed. Great to make friends with them all…. and sending your mind unconditional love is beautiful. I have found that my mind just wants to feel safe. It may not be capable of understanding higher consciousness (although I haven’t given up on its evolution) it certainly loves knowing its place… and now that I am awake again things are going great! 🙂 Much love to you – Tristan
